Hairy Woodpecker
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with annual
precipitation of more than 1127 mm, especially those with relatively
flat topography. In drier regions (218-1127 mm annual precipitation),
it occurred mostly in hexagons containing some ponderosa pine forest,
except where June minimum temperature (hex. max.) was more than
25� C. The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with the extent of public land.
